The Tales of Tunbridge Wells app features inspiring stories donated by local residents, council employees and researchers. It has been developed by the Town Council of Tunbridge Wells.
The app uses location services to ‘trigger’ content – as visitors wander through the town, they are invited to listen to these stories and use the map to find more.

Five interconnected trails form the ‘Town Walking Trail’ within the Tales of Tunbridge Wells app. These are indicated to users by using different colours. You can follow the trail on a visit to the town, or listen to the content from the comfort of your own home.

The app has been updated to include a trail along Hawkhurst High Street, which has many listed buildings (over 230 listed structures in all, although only 12 are featured in the trail). This trail is illustrated with amazing linocut images created by pupils from Hawkhurst Primary School.
