National Emergency Services Museum

The National Emergency Services Museum is home to our permanent Sheffield Blitz exhibition.

Many of the exhibits here tell the story of those who risked their lives during the air raids – firefighters, police officers, ambulance crews and wardens who worked through the two nights under constant bombardment.

Inside, you can see original vehicles, uniforms and equipment from the Blitz era.

It’s a fascinating and thought provoking reminder of the incredible sacrifices made by the people of  Sheffield in World War Two.
